Artist's Comments

I like the idea of this shot, but I am not totally thrilled with the quality.

However, having taken this shot has taught me a number of things that I will be able to use the next time I have a similar opportunity. And that I believe....is what artistic photography is about....trial and error....and ongoing experimentation and learning.

So I post it as an initial experiment.

Thank you Andrey.

I knew a few people would appreciate the challenge of back lighting a semi transparent object in a non-studio, hostile situation. The wind was phenomenal that day, and the temperature was quite cold. Perfect conditions for frost bite in under a minute, so I had to work fast. Still, next time I will change a few more things.

lol....not quite,

I was working in conditions (cols and wind chill) that produce frost bite in under 30 seconds. had it been Africa....maybe the results would have been different.

thanks for your comment.
