Artist's Comments

The full title is Path of the Snow Queen - The Enchanted Forest

This is the same place as the path of the Snow Queen. The difference is that the trees have been covered in hoar frost. The picture was murder to take because the extremely flat lighting gave almost no contrast. The only way to make the print appear somewhat normal and pleasing was to boos the contrast and saturation

This secne is 1.5 miles from where i work. I always have a camera so i scooted out knowing that the hoar frost would not last long. Ther eis another picture of this exact same scene on my site taken on a different day. Totally different.

I wanted to see this in full view, but DA has some issues, especially with images submitted on Dec. 16.
I'll try again later, because I think this is an exceptional image (it's also the reason I left Canada - the winter, not the image ;) ).

Thanks for your comment.

If dA does not cooperate with the full view image, let me know and we can arrange for you to get on in a different way.

I was very impressed by the macro photography you have done. It represents a great deal of time and patience.

yes indeed the winters are not the easiest, but what is.....is. So where were you fortunate enough to locate to?

I'm now in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I'm happy with the winters here, because I can shoot more nature. For the last week we had temperatures of over 20 Celsius every day.
