With the coming of a storm, I had originally thought to call this submission precarious shelter, and indeed, given the condition of the roof, and the placement of this cabin on the very edge of a valley, it would at best provide limited shelter. But I shortened the title, to allow for a broader interpretation, of the life of the pioneers, and the ongoing existence of these cabins. Not only were the original builders living precarious lives, but these cabins, now the only reminders of the builders, live a precarious existence, vulnerable to the elements and vandals. This particular one, which is more than 100 years old, has had the wall destroyed and will not last much longer. We will need to remember it digitally, for soon it will be lost.
did not have to shovel today, but Saturday and yesterday I did. I changed oil in the snow blower. I am hoping with this oil I will be able to store it in the shed, not the garage.
BTW..... Ralph is kind of a fair weather guy....no snow shovelling for him.... I think he needs a kick.
I've never had to shovel snow in my life (but I used to help break ice for cattle to get water long, long ago), and I don't believe I've ever seen a snow blower in real life...
You just send Ralph to me. I'll kick him in the shins for ya.
Another great shot!!! What a view they had, but I'll bet it was a cold spot in the winter!!! I'm not critiquing...not qualified...just enjoying the work you are doing preserving memories and history. Hey...it is -41 at this moment!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

yes it is an older picture. I was digging around and found it and re-processed it. I like how the clouds came out.
