The building "thing" is a grain elevator. I wrestled with making the elevator all black, but it is so large in the picture that it created too much "dead" space. I think that by allowing some detail, it helps to draw the person into the creation. I think it helps to create a level of curiosity about what the object is, and what it "really looks like". But it does not quite give enough information. I did not want the whole attention to be drawn to the sky.
In a print, the foreground is darker and has less detail. That is one of the tings about viewing something on a screen versus paper.
In any event, I do appreciate you comments.
I had a look at your gallery, and it seems that there are some similar things happening in how you and I see the world.
I especially liked “Vision Division” and “Love Will Tear Us Apart”. I do not do people pictures very well, but you have captured some interesting emotion.
There seems to be a change in your gallery at “Seen Better Days”. I am not sure if this is correct, but the kind and quality of your shots seems to get better from that point.
Thanks.
Please visit their gallery.

Manitoba really, but Iguess you could easily see this in Saskatchewan. Is that where you reside?
