Birds live life to the full. Maybe it is because they live such short lives that they give it all that they have. Maybe it is that this is just how they are created.
What ever the reason when birds live, they do so in a total way. And when they sing, they open their mouths and sing like there is nothing else in existence but their song. And perhaps there is nothing else in that moment. I for one have never heard a bird sing anything less that perfection.
Male Black-capped Chickadee (Parus atricapilius) 14-14 cm. Lives in deciduous and mixed forests in summer and urban areas in winter. Breeds from Alaska to Newfoundland south to New Jersey, Missouri and northeast California. Winters in Maryland and Texas. They often migrate in very large numbers sometimes many thousands at a time.
