I have decided to create a new collection of images called LIVING PRAIRIE
The images in this collection will depict the prairie especially the land and sky. The images will not normally contain man made objects, but rather just the prairie and that which lives and grows upon her. (The one exception to the man made idea will be paths, roads or trails, while these are man made, they become part of the terrain and so will be included in this series.)
As a new image this picture will be the flagship image of the Folder, other new images will be added, and a few existing images will also be included.
FULL VIEW IS SUGGESTED This picture was taken on the top of an Esker (moraine) looking east across the Red River Valley. It is...The Heartland. I have made the image very large so that detail will be easily seen. The large structure right of centre is the grain elevator that is features in some of my work notably... Islands Emerge....Day Begins. It is about 4 miles from where this picture was taken. Also on the extreme right, the City of Winkler is visible....note the water tower.
Amazing saturation, and the contrast in the colors, wowzers! Great photograph.

I do not believe that sheer suffering teaches. If suffering alone taught, all the world would be wise, since everyone suffers. To suffering must be added mourning, understanding, patience, love, openness and the willingness to remain vulnerable.
ROFL!! Didn't think it looked much like Texas... I'm off to Google Earth to have a look at it.

In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
